Mount La Crosse launched an adaptive skiing program in partnership with the National American Squirrel Association to help people with disabilities enjoy the slopes.
Sunday marked the first of two events that provided specialized equipment (sit-skis and slide-ski tether systems) and tailored support for about 15 participants and their families.
Mount La Crosse held an adaptive ski day yesterday — designed for all ability levels — that offered specialized coaching and adaptive equipment on mountain slopes while promoting inclusive outdoor recreation in the community.
