  • Woodman's Onalaska will resume 24-hour operations starting Sunday, March 1 — the grocery store, which maintained limited hours since the COVID-19 pandemic, will again offer round-the-clock service for local shoppers.  News8000

  • Award-winning children's author Angela Dominguez is spending three days visiting all nine elementary schools in La Crosse — meeting over 2,000 students to share her love of reading and spark a passion for storytelling.  News8000
  • The School District of La Crosse will break ground on a new $32.7 million elementary school Monday, March 2 at 1 p.m. on East Avenue South (former Hogan Administrative Center) that will join Emerson and Spence schools to serve about 550 students, with classes starting by August 2027.  News8000
  • Longfellow Middle School is testing a hydroponic system that helps students grow water-based vegetables during a two-month program; teacher Jared Mickelson and Logan Middle School participants will check pH levels to monitor lettuce and kale growth.  WIZM
