  • A large turnout met Tuesday afternoon in Gays Mills at an open house hosted by Dairyland Power and GridLiance to review the proposed 140-mile Maribell Transmission Project aimed at meeting rising Midwest energy demand.   • The Dairy Breakfast returns to the farm on June 20 at Creamery Creek Farms near Bangor—organized by the St. Joseph’s Ridge Lions Club and featuring dairy-themed fare with live entertainment and activities for all ages.   • A study in La Crosse County recommends building 4,900 new homes over the next 10 years to ease the need for affordable housing (especially for entry level units).  La Crosse Tribune
  • A Stantec report Monday found that 100 acres of the former county farm in West Salem near Lake Neshonoc could support 600 to 1,100 housing units over 10 to 20 years — county supervisors want local school and village officials involved in planning.  WIZM
