- ➤ La Crosse’s yard waste site on Isle La Plume will open on Monday, March 23 at 10 a.m. for residents using a new $25 seasonal permit (operating Mon–Tue 10 a.m.–6 p.m. and Sat–Sun 10 a.m.–4 p.m.) and will close November 24 (permits renew through 2028). WIZM
- ➤ City officials declared an extended snow emergency to manage heavy snowfall from midnight Sunday, March 15 until Thursday, March 19 at 6 p.m. and enforced alternate side parking rules — vehicles must park on the side matching each day's date with first violations given a warning and subsequent $15 fines. - ➤ La Crosse City Council approved a zoning change for the former K-Mart lot on Losey Boulevard, allowing Copper Rocks to build 200+ apartments at the intersection of Losey and State Road (vote 9-4).
