Hundreds joined the 21st annual St. Paddy’s Day .01K run on Saturday along Pearl Street to raise funds for the Hunger Task Force — the event raised over $100,000 to date.

La Crosse’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade took place today despite weather concerns — family members of Pat Stephens led the 15-minute route downtown with floats, candy, and music, followed by a gathering at Freighthouse featuring food and tunes from Amadans.
Today, despite snow, train enthusiasts attended the La Crosse and Three Rivers Model Railroad Show at Omni Center in Onalaska, a two-day event by Ralph Hauser and the River Rail Ops Group with displays from small engines to large layouts offering a hands-on alternative to computer games (especially for kids).

La Crosse Mayo nurse Abram Dyke received the DAISY Award after helping a hospital couple celebrate their 51st wedding anniversary in the ICU amid a crisis.
He surprised them with a handmade banner, flowers + coordinated a special dinner in their room.

The UW-La Crosse women’s indoor track and field team finished fourth at the Division III National Championships on March 14.
Two athletes earned top-3 finishes and the team broke four school records — including a new 4x400 relay mark— during the meet.
