- ➤ Fire crews responded to a house fire on the 600 block of 5th Ave S just before 9:00 p.m. on Saturday night and spent over three hours fighting the blaze with no injuries reported—investigators are looking into the cause while the Red Cross assists displaced residents. News8000

- ➤ On Sunday, the National Association of Letter Carriers held a rally in La Crosse to protest plans that could let the Secretary of Commerce change the postal service — local carriers warned that privatization might raise prices and cut service for important deliveries. News8000
- ➤ Vern Weisensel explained that the NALC La Crosse branch held a protest against privatizing the USPS as part of a national demonstration. The protest shows local union members working to keep postal services public. La Crosse Tribune
