- ➤ Clara Gelatt and Katie Bitner previewed nine short films for the No Man’s Land Film Festival — a free event with doors opening at 5 p.m. and films starting at 6 p.m. today at the Rivoli in downtown La Crosse. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The La Crosse County Highway Department announced that starting April 7, crews will work on Highway 16 between La Crosse Street and Valley View Mall to reduce lanes to two-way traffic as they resurface the road and improve the bridge and intersection—this project will last through the summer and cause delays. - ➤ Voters in La Crosse will cast ballots on April 1 in several state and local races, including choosing a new mayor & city council representatives. The ballot also includes contests to select a new circuit court judge in Branch 1 and new school board members, with candidate details reported by local news. WIZM

- ➤ Galesville pup Cooper and his handler Addison Connolly are preparing to compete in the Junior Open Agility World Championship Competition in Portugal this summer. They are the only Wisconsin pair on the 24-person American Kennel Club Junior Agility Team USA and will travel in July to run a course they have trained for since the pandemic began—marking their first international event.
