- ➤ La Crosse County's foster care team faced a shortage when siblings under five had to be placed in separate homes outside the county. Child Protection Specialist Jenny Schroeder said the lack of local foster families may force school changes for children + spur a push for more fostering. WIZM

EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ A La Crosse public school built in 1940 is under consideration for historic landmark status after the Heritage Preservation Commission voted 5 – 2 on Thursday to advance its nomination with a public hearing set for late April. The school district opposes the move over funding concerns. WIZM
- ➤ On Thursday, Mar. 26, young students from La Crosse Central and Spence Elementary tried rock-climbing, obstacle courses, and making s’mores during the annual All-Abilities Day event. High school physical education students (including Charlie Buxton) helped them explore new challenges and build teamwork. WIZM
