  • Tokyo Fusion opened Tuesday in downtown La Crosse at 212 Main St. and now serves Japanese and Chinese food (using recipes from the former Sushi Pirate) while 19-year-old August Kerns will take over Rosie's Cafe, which will mark its 41st anniversary Tuesday, as the Mayo Clinic store moves to a larger space this fall, Visionworks closed its Valley View Mall outlet and High Society opened at 223 N. EDUCATION NEWS

  • Western Technical College in La Crosse cut the ribbon on its new dental lab on Thursday. The lab will give students hands-on experience with dental equipment — and serve as a classroom — as part of a $20 million state health care package investment.  News8000

  • With five days until the Spring Election on April 1, state Supreme Court candidates campaigned across Wisconsin—Judge Brad Schimel visited La Crosse after stops in Altoona and Eau Claire while Susan Crawford held a meet and greet in Oneida County to share her working-class background and promise impartiality.  WIProud
  • Wisconsin voters will cast ballots Tuesday in the spring election as they choose candidates for the state Supreme Court, state superintendent and a constitutional amendment requiring photo ID for voting. The Associated Press will report vote counts and declare winners—vote margins that are too wide for a recount will be noted as conclusive.  News8000
  • Candidates running in Tuesday's election answered the Wisconsin State Journal's candidate questionnaires (detailing their views on local issues) to share their plans with La Crosse voters. Voters can review these responses ahead of casting their ballots.  La Crosse Tribune
