- ➤ On March 29, more than 200 veterans and guests gathered at the American Legion Post 336 in Onalaska to honor Vietnam veterans and mark the 50th anniversary of the war’s end—community leaders thanked the veterans and invited them to share memories after the ceremony. WIZM
- ➤ The Family & Children's Center in La Crosse raised awareness for Child Abuse Awareness Month in April when community members planted blue cutouts of children at its headquarters Monday — a move to show that abuse is not okay. - ➤ Black River Falls police executed a search warrant at a home on Pierce Street on March 29th and arrested seven local residents after finding methamphetamine, cocaine and fentanyl—police recommended charges for maintaining a drug house and possession. WIProud
- ➤ 48-year-old James Ziss, the former manager of the Norwood Inn & Suites in Campbell, pleaded guilty to solicitation of prostitutes and disorderly conduct on Friday and was sentenced to 6 days in jail, a $543 fine, and one year probation as part of his plea deal that dismissed all other charges.
