- ➤ The Sustainability Institute will host the 5th Annual Green Goose Chase—an app‐based scavenger hunt that takes participants on a fun journey across local sites—from April 17th through April 24th. Registration is open and a kickoff event will be held on April 17th at the Coleman Center on the Western Technical College campus from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. WIProud
- ➤ Neighbors Day at Myrick Park on Saturday, April 26th—an event organized by Habitat for Humanity—will need 500 volunteers to help more than 200 households get ready for spring. Volunteers may sign up for shifts from 8 am to noon, 11 am to 3 pm or the full day and can request assistance until April 17th. WIProud

- ➤ Shaundel Washington-Spivey won the La Crosse mayor election by 451 votes — he received 9,012 votes while Chris Kahlow got 8,561 votes. He becomes the first black and openly gay mayor and will take office on April 15. WIZM
- ➤ Mayor Reynolds hosted a proclamation reading with New Horizons of La Crosse Tuesday—raising awareness for Sexual Assault Awareness Month and urging support for survivors—while ribbons were put up around the city. News8000
