- ➤ The Franciscan Spirituality Center held its 17th annual Justice and Peace Walk today in La Crosse, with a 2-mile route featuring 10 stations where attendees prayed, sang, and reflected on social justice concerns - college students also displayed canvas art. News8000

- ➤ Blue pinwheels were installed by the Coulee Region Child Abuse Prevention Task Force at YMCA La Crosse last Friday to remind the community to protect children during Child Abuse Prevention Awareness Month + The pinwheels will remain through April. News8000
- ➤ Three area fire departments and the American Red Cross will install free smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors on Saturday, April 11 in homes across La Crosse, Onalaska and Holmen. Each home can get up to three alarms and one detector, so call (888) 376 4056 to book an appointment. WIZM

- ➤ Hundreds of high school students gathered at the La Crosse Center this weekend for the WIN District Seven Rivers robotics tournament, where teams built robots to score foam fuel and climb alliance towers (a test of teamwork and engineering skills). News8000

- ➤ Governor Tony Evers visited Western Technical College Friday to mark a record 18,524 apprentices enrolled and to promote state workforce development. - ➤ The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) updated fishing rules for the 2026-2027 season Friday in several counties, setting limits for panfish and trout that vary by water body.
