A local breast cancer fundraiser launched its 20th anniversary campaign — Power Up the Pink — by unveiling a new logo and a survivor advocate to promote the cause.

The annual walk scheduled for September 13 will continue community efforts to raise funds for cancer research and patient support programs.

Jacob Baumbach, 33, was charged today in Monroe County Circuit Court with first-degree reckless homicide for delivering fentanyl that led to Jordan Miller’s fatal overdose last October — he also faces charges for distributing fentanyl and methamphetamine — and is held on a $250,000 cash bond.

Viterbo students earning a dance minor will present Dance Kaleidoscope 2025 at the Fine Arts Center Main Theatre on April 25th and April 26th at 7:30 pm.

Today, the Wisconsin DNR unveiled the Fishing Finder website — a new online resource that gives anglers details on boat launch spots, fishing rules, public lands, fish stocking data, and locations of DNR service centers.

Users can bookmark their favorite spots for quick access.

The UW-La Crosse Police Department was fully accredited by the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Accreditation Group in early April.

This achievement places the department among only 8+ percent of agencies meeting the rigorous standards set by the accrediting body.
