Freeman Cole did not receive a bond reduction at a Tuesday hearing—he is accused of trying to strangle a woman at a La Crosse storage unit in 2023 and claims his rights were violated.

The fourth annual Imagine Summit took place at CVTC on April 30 at 9:50 a.m. CDT—nearly 100 students from nine western Wisconsin school districts attended the event to learn more about science, technology, engineering and math.

City officials say if the role is approved, filling it will take 6—9 months with a salary of nearly $200,000 a year.

UW-La Crosse record-setter Jack Studer was invited to rookie minicamp with the Green Bay Packers and has been preparing in the Twin Cities since NFL Draft weekend—coach Matt Janus noted that Studer holds school records in touchdown receptions and receiving yards as he chases his NFL dream.
