- ➤ Farmers in western Wisconsin and state lawmakers rallied at Burns Park on Thursday to urge Congress to pass a new five-year farm bill that would support local farms and protect federal nutrition programs — Westby farmer Darin Von Ruden and legislators warned that the delay in passing the bill threatens farm stability. - ➤ La Crosse city council postponed its vote on hiring a full-time city administrator until early 2026 by an 11—2 vote to allow more study and public comment. Some council members said they were ready to vote now but wanted unanimous support before the proposal moved forward. WIZM
