  • Driftless CrossFit & Fitness hosted a Memorial March on Memorial Day weekend to raise funds for Freedom Honor Flight with a 5-mile run and walk and a raffle. The event honored local veterans and celebrated remembrance while uniting the La Crosse community.  News8000
  • A new $1.2M pavilion has replaced the old clubhouse at Forest Hills Golf Course, giving community members a new place to gather for golfing and events in La Crosse. The project is expected to boost local engagement + support more community activities.  La Crosse Tribune

EDUCATION NEWS

  • UW La Crosse offered a Win-Win Program that lets students who left early finish their degrees. The program required students to have earned at least 50 credits and not enrolled elsewhere for 2.5 years — and it helped 126 former students over the last four years.  WIProud
  • Central High held its 103rd outdoor Memorial Day ceremony on Friday along Losey Boulevard—students, veterans and others gathered to honor fallen service members. Senior Jonah Larson, who will join the Army after graduation, spoke at the event as part of a long-running tradition.  WIZM

  • Rainbow Ridge Farms in Onalaska is offering Goat Yoga—where participants do basic yoga poses while petting goats—and charges $20 per session; classes will be held every Saturday morning and Tuesday at 6 p.m. during the summer, weather permitting.  News8000
