- ➤ La Crosse Police arrested a 17-year-old after a fight in Pettibone Park led to shots fired about 11:15 p.m. on the 600 Block of Pettibone Drive Wednesday night plus he faces charges of attempted 2nd Degree Homicide, Possession of a Firearm by a Felon and 2nd Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety as police said no one was injured and the investigation remains open. - ➤ La Crosse police responded at 8:30 p.m. Thursday night to an altercation near the Copeland Park shelter involving a machete and arrested two men for disorderly conduct while armed—one man, aged 55, now faces a charge of substantial battery-intent bodily harm and a victim with non-life-threatening injuries was taken to the hospital.
