Director Eddie Zelhofer explained the 41st Waupaca Boatride Volleyball Tournament started in 1984 in Waupaca, moved to Wisconsin Dells and now will take place in Oshkosh, with 3,200 teams, 360 nets and around 80,000 players and spectators plus $80,000 in cash prizes at Brighton Acres this year. The tournament has grown from a modest doubles contest into a five-day event that now includes an AVP Tour stop.
