- ➤ On July 16, UW-La Crosse Chancellor Dr. James Beeby said during La Crosse Talk that the university secured $194 million for Phase 2 of Prairie Springs Science Center after seven years of GOP delays that cost taxpayers an extra $100 million + he added that the loss of federal funding for its 40-year Adapted Physical Education program and rising tuition and housing costs are major challenges for students.
