Good morning, La Crosse.

Rudy's Drive-In in La Crosse hosted a Classic Cruise event Tuesday evening — classic car owners showcased their rides while visitors enjoyed a complimentary root beer float, face painting, and a DJ booth.

The event ran from 6 to 8 p.m. and built on a strong local turnout, with more car shows on the way.

Pla-Mor lanes in La Crosse has provided a spot for bowling and community fun for 60 years after opening in 1965 above the Popcorn Tavern on 4th Street.

The bowling alley will celebrate its anniversary week with tournaments, a triathlon, and a free cake cutting on August 15th — events that show its ongoing support for local youth and school trips.

Robert Brand (22) from Hillsboro is charged with first degree reckless injury, reckless driving causing great bodily harm, and two counts of second degree recklessly endangering safety after a two-vehicle crash in rural Viroqua in mid-February that hurt people; he will appear in court on Sept. 2.

Today, La Crosse finalizes its Capital Improvement Budget that allocates $57M for key 2026 projects (the guide outlines major items and funding priorities).
