- ➤ Holmen Kornfest celebrated its 30th anniversary with a car show that offered over $2000 in prizes and showcased a variety of cars and motorcycles—organizers expected about 300 vehicle owners to display their rides as part of a weekend of festivities. News8000

- ➤ Authorities continue a manhunt for Nathan Gossman who fled during a high-speed chase in Viroqua, crashed his vehicle and then stole a municipal truck in La Crescent early Saturday—residents are urged not to confront him and to report any sightings. News8000

- ➤ Government forecasts predict that Wisconsin cranberry growers will harvest 5.3 million barrels from 25,000 acres on 250 farms across 19 counties starting in late September and continuing through October, down from 6.01 million barrels in 2024. The crop supplies nearly two-thirds of the nation’s cranberries+ this decline still keeps Wisconsin as the top producer worldwide. WIZM
