- ➤ Westby Cooperative Creamery announced a $14 million expansion to upgrade Wisconsin's only cottage cheese facility—installing new refrigeration systems, cream tanks and a milk silo. The planned renovations will boost production and reduce processing time to meet growing demand. News8000

- ➤ Congressman Derrick Van Orden toured Great Lakes Cheese in La Crosse and stressed its role in boosting the local economy. He said the plant employs 400 workers and produces 5 million pounds of cheese a week — a key facility for small business growth and the dairy industry. News8000

- ➤ The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse launched a free tutoring program on August 26 to help students with their coursework. The initiative will offer academic support during the semester for enrolled students. News8000
