- ➤ Westby Cooperative Creamery announced a $14.1M project to modernize its cottage cheese production and boost capacity by about 50% in Westby. The upgrade will add four new enclosed vats — replacing older equipment to help the creamery remain the only one of its kind in Wisconsin. La Crosse Tribune

- ➤ UW-La Crosse Chancellor James Beeby welcomed students back to campus Wednesday morning with his first address since he took charge earlier this year. - ➤ UW-La Crosse chancellor announced today that a 5% tuition increase will partly fund pay raises and wage adjustments for faculty and staff — the measure is intended to improve career quality and help retain valued employees. La Crosse Tribune
- ➤ At the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, resident advisor Logan Pietig reassured new students as about 3,000 began moving into residence halls yesterday.
