  • Dairyland Power Cooperative donated $2,500 to La Crosse’s Hunger Task Force in time for the holiday season—this support will help the food bank meet rising needs as many families may lose SNAP funds. Dairyland president Brent Ridge said the donation is a blessing for the community.  WIZM
  • Great Rivers United Way took over the region's 211 crisis services on November 11, a change that lets the organization manage community help calls and coordinate referrals directly.  News8000
  • University of Wisconsin-La Crosse student athletes served breakfast Tuesday to honor local veterans at the 13th annual Freedom Honor Flight event held at the fieldhouse—about 600 volunteers helped set up the free event and Viterbo University President Rick Trietly delivered the keynote address.  News8000
  • Moments hospice hosted a veteran pinning ceremony yesterday — awarding pins to honor local veterans and marking a meaningful moment for community members who attended the event.  News8000

  • Flights at La Crosse Regional Airport were cancelled on Monday and Tuesday due to FAA staffing cuts—prompted by a government shutdown. Travelers can use Amtrak or Jefferson Lines bus service to reach Chicago or Minneapolis.  News8000
