- ➤ Viterbo University in La Crosse hosted a Veterans Day ceremony that honored military service by students, employees, and local veterans—during the event, the La Crosse County Veterans’ Services Department presented awards to Donald Weber and Conrad Targonski for their advocacy. The awards, given by the County and Tribal Veteran Service Officer Association of Wisconsin, recognize those who serve beyond the uniform. WIProud
- ➤ Downtown La Crosse is hosting a Holiday Open House—local vendors and festive activities are planned for residents as officials will share more details soon. News8000
- ➤ Great Rivers United Way will take over the 211 referral service on January 1st, 2026—ensuring a smooth transition as Emplify Health ends its role so that all 20,000–22,000 annual calls, including those from individuals in crisis, continue to be answered. Executive Director Mary Kay Wolf said the agency will work with other United Way groups to set up a new call center system without interruption. WIZM
